18A - Create a Customer Avatar
My customer Avatar is an undergraduate UF student. They rely on Bright Futures to pay for their tuition and have a part-time job to help their family pay for their housing. They want to do well in school and take a lot of big lecture classes.
I am also a UF student who relies on Bright Futures to pay for tuition. It makes sense for me to have something in common with my customer as when I thought of a business idea I thought of problems that I do have.

ReplyDeleteYour avatar would definitely be an undergraduate UF student. I personally identified with some of the avatar's descriptions, which I think shows that you have a good understanding of your audience. I also think it is smart to compare the needs of the avatar to your own. Also, having similar traits to the avatar is smart because it provides a connection.

ReplyDeleteI would agree that your avatar would definitely be a student at UF. I do, however, I think that not only undergraduates could use your service. There are plenty of graduate students who struggle with finding books for an affordable price. I know that this was just an exercise on a specific type of person to model your business, and I think you did a great job on that. as an undergraduate student at the University of Florida I can definitely relate to having this problem and could see myself using your project! Great job!

ReplyDeleteThe avatar is an accurate illustration of what your target market looks like at uf. i also agree that not only do undergraduate students need this service but also graduate students need this so i would say it is a good idea to offer this service to graduate students and expand your market and bring in higher revenues.
