Hey Maria! I could really appreciate that your choices for articles varied from each other. I think that it's important to be holistic within the realm of entrepreneurship and it's admirable that you take that into account. Looking at a lot of possible opportunities is important for broadening the amount of possible solutions that you can come up with. I think your choices were great ones that included local politics, local disasters, medical policies, local education, and things happening on campus. Great job!

It is really interesting to see such a broad range of topics and articles used in your post. I like seeing how two of the articles were related to UF, such as the one on the UF sailing team, and the one of the Coronavirus concerns that it will spread to Gainesville. Being a UF student I feel that I don’t keep up to date enough with current issues locally, and that there are many issues that an entrepreneur could solve. It is important to not just focus on big global issues and to take time to look around to find smaller issues that could be fixed.
ReplyDeleteDear Maria,
ReplyDeleteI also read the article, “UF Health monitors rumors of coronavirus spreading to Gainesville.” I think an opportunity lies in this problem. For example, maybe the university can work at building a medium to directly communicate with its students on ways to prevent diseases an expel rumors. For the UF sailing team, maybe an opportunity is to offer insurance on the equipment.
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteI like ow all your articles are really diverse in the sense that all the topics were very different from each other leading the reader to form many different opportunity beliefs. I thought the one about UF and the corona virus is really interesting because it is a huge concern considering we have many Asian students and students who travel to Asia. so, I definitely think there is an opportunity to try and verify no one has the virus in Gainesville.
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading all your articles and even saw some of the same articles I chose. It is also interesting to learn about all the things currently going on in Gainesville. As a UF student I do not really stay on top of current events in Gainesville. Just like some of the articles you posted there are always problems that need to be solved.
